Spain : Gay teens pelted with stones outside school
Gay groups have called for tougher anti-homophobia laws in the wake of an incident which saw a gay teenage girl left unconscious after she was pelted with stones after leaving school in Spain’s Murcia region on Monday.
Juncker I Commission – Strong promise of a European Union respectful of LGBTI rights
Today, the European Parliament gave its consent to the Juncker I Commission by a 423 – 209 majority. Over the last weeks, the Parliament has conducted hearings with the candidate Commissioners, in which their stance on LGBTI rights was a recurring topic.
