14-Year-Old Muslim boy harassed when he came out as gay

I've had it hard. It has been yelled shit to me like "fucking Queer" and many other bad things. There are many Muslims who look down on me, says a 14-year-old boy from a Muslim background to NRK.

The young Norwegian Muslim boy, who is interviewed is anonymous for his own safety, came out as gay when he started school. Instead of getting the support he hoped for, he experienced that multiple friends went against him and bullying were part of everyday life.

Bullying affected heavily on the 14-year-old, and that made him stressed out and the weight began to race downhill.

– I stopped eating because I thought I was going to gain weight, so then there was no point eating. So when I went down 5 kg, the boy told Norwegian NRK.
