Know your rights! – Discrimination booklet published
The Commission published a booklet that provides easily accessible guidance for victims of discrimination. It informs them of their rights under EU law, about what they can do and whom they can contact for support.

On this International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, the EU stands together with LGBTI people all around the world in the struggle to end discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity. All human beings are equal in dignity and all are entitled to enjoy their rights as enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

TLDEF Applauds New York Attorney General on Initiative to Ensure Equal Access to Medical Care for Transgender People
The Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund commends New York Attorney General General Eric T. Schneiderman for launching a new initiative to ensure that transgender New Yorkers have equal access to medical care throughout the state. The initiative will provide programming to hospitals and medical centers on the legal requirements for treating transgender people in New York and best practices in providing care to this patient population.
