
One of Norway riches people comes out as gay
Stein Erik Hagen (59) are the head of 6th riches families in Norway - comes out today as gay in Scandinavian biggest talkshow "Skavlan".
In the interview shown on TV tonight tells the famous businessman how he realised he was gay.
I realised I was gay in adulthood. When I was in the 20s we didn’t know what it was. We had heard about it, but it wasn’t something we associated ourselves with, he says.
Hagen has been married twice and has a total of four children.
Orkla-chairman and former supermarket owner has for many years been engaged in gay rights and for an open church. He says that homosexuality was taboo and unknown to him and his circle when he was in his youth.
It’s about 20 years ago I stood in Vålerenga Church and took up these issues first. Much has changed over the last 20 years, and when it comes to the acceptance of those who are different, so I think it has evolved a lot. It has been like a rolling snowball, says Hagen to talk show host Fredrik Skavlan according nrk.no.
