I realised I was gay in adulthood. When I was in the 20s we didn’t know what it was. We had heard about it, but it wasn’t something we associated ourselves with, he says.

Hagen has been married twice and has a total of four children.

Orkla-chairman and former supermarket owner has for many years been engaged in gay rights and for an open church. He says that homosexuality was taboo and unknown to him and his circle when he was in his youth.

It’s about 20 years ago I stood in Vålerenga Church and took up these issues first.
