Matthew Mitcham announces retirement: “I’m free, I’m a lady of leisure!”
Australian Olympic gold medallist Matthew Mitcham has just announced he’s retiring from championship diving ahead of the Rio Olympics.
“I’m free, I’m a lady of leisure!” Matthew Mitcham told the presenters on 7’s Sunrise show this morning.
“There’s never really a good time for an elite athlete to retire is there? But it’s something I’ve been thinking about for a long time,” Matthew Mitcham explains.
