
Victim of horrific hate crime attack speaks out in bid to catch thug
'I can’t believe someone would do that in this day and age' says 25-year-old.
A gay man has told of he was viciously stamped on and subjected to vile homophobic insults during a night out in Oldham.
Anthony Griffiths, 25, was with friends on Saturday night when he was attacked by a man dressed as video game character Mario.
The care assistant said he was drinking in Club Revolution in Oldham town centre when he was called a ‘gay ****’ in the smoking area outside.
Anthony claims he was stamped on and left with a broken ankle after being attacked by the same man in the early hours of Sunday morning in Yorkshire Street.
