While some people ignore it, others choose to fight it – and some choose to battle it with love.
Natalie Woods, a queer woman from Texas in the U.S, was sitting in a local restaurant when she overheard a family sitting at a nearby table discussing their gay nephew.
‘I was at dinner with a friend and the table behind me began talking about how disgusted he was with his gay liberal nephew,’ Natalie tells Metro.co.uk.
‘He told the others they needed to pray for his cure.
‘I was upset, mostly because his nephew wasn’t even there to defend himself but also because the Jesus I grew up learning about was all about love.’
Wanting to do something about the situation, Natalie decided she’d teach the family a thing or two by paying their bill without them knowing.
