Labour : It is “untrue” that probe into homophobic abuse within the Wallasey party has ended
Local party is suspended after alleged abuse of MP Angela Eagle last year.
The Labour party says claims investigations into alleged homophobic abuse at its Wallasey constituency party have been dropped are untrue.
The party responded after Kathy Runswick, chair of the Wallasey CLP said she was “delighted to hear that no disciplinary charges are to be brought against any member of the CLP.”
Wallasey CLP was suspended last year after claims that MP Angela Eagle and others were subjected to homophobic abuse during the party’s Annual General Meeting and on other occasions.
