
Woman fighting for life after ‘homophobic’ cordless drill attack on Irish street
A woman has been subjected to an horrific attack with a cordless drill leaving her with "very serious" injuries.
Police are investigating a possible homophobic motive for the assault in Co Tyrone.
The PSNI are seeking witnesses and urging anyone who was in Strabane on Friday night into Saturday morning to check their dashcams and mobile phones for footage which could help their investigation.
The 38-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and left in a “grave” situation after she was assaulted in Railway Street area of the town around 2am today.
“Anyone with such footage or any other information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police in Strabane on 101, quoting reference number 153 05/05/18.”
