Leicester LGBT Centre is crowdfunding £11k for ‘safe space’ for LGBTQ people

A city organisation is crowdfunding as it looks to raise £11,000 to pay for the creation of a new ‘safe space’ for LGBTQ people.
The Leicester Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Centre is trying to fund a new community and resource café at its base in Wellington Street.
The money raised will go towards the renovation of an area in the building, which will provide a place for visitors to connect and socialise.
It will also provide a way for people to access the support and resources offered to them by the centre.
