He fearlessly defied authority, unapologetically embracing his true self, his beliefs, and his desires. And he never gave up. He left an indelible mark on history, although sadly, his contributions were overlooked. Guided by the talented George C. Wolfe, who has won the DGA Award and five Tony Awards, and featuring the incredible Colman Domingo, an Emmy Award winner, Rustin beautifully showcases the life of this remarkable individual. Alongside esteemed figures like Reverend Martin Luther King Jr., Adam Clayton Powell Jr., and Ella Baker, Rustin dared to envision a world of change and ignited a powerful movement towards freedom.
