Nigeria orders MultiChoice not to air ‘offensive’ series about transgender child
The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) in Nigeria has directed Multichoice, the parent company of DSTV, not to air a programme titled: “I am Jazz” a mini-series about a transgender child.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Director of Public Affairs of the NBC, Mr Awwalu Salihu, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Monday.
The NBC said the programme is capable of corrupting the youths as it is also at variance with Nigerian law which prohibits homosexuality.

NBC and Awwalu Salihu doesn’t know what they are talking about, since they don’t know the difference to be transgender and to be gay. You can be transgender and be straight – and you can be transgender and bisexual and you can be transgender and gay.
Mr Awwalu Salihu read and learn before you take decisions of something you clearly haven’t any knowledge about.
Transgender people experience a mismatch between their gender identity or gender expression and their assigned sex.
