Rozalla & Allan Jay new single Breaking My Heart
Rozalla burst into the UK Charts, reaching No 6, with her breakout record “Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good)” back in 1991 and followed it up with two major chart smashes “Faith (In The Power Of Love)” and another record that is recognised as a true club anthem “Are You Ready To Fly”.
An album named after her first hit was also a big seller and reached the UK top 20.
After signing to mega label Sony Music, she was the opening act for Michael Jackson’s Dangerous shows in the UK and had another hit with her version of the disco track “I Love Music”, which featured in the film “Carlito’s Way”. 3 other hits were to come from the partnership with Sony and Rozalla also featured on the album “Look No Further” alongside Diane Warren, Frankie Knuckles and others.
Rozalla has also had hits with Aquagen, who remixed “Everybody’s Free” and trance producer “Plastic Boy”.
Constantly in demand all over the world, she has also had time to record a Soul/Jazz album and performed with “Billy Ocean” on a recent tour. She has just finished her first major acting role in a UK based horror film.
This is her first recording with Energise, and together they will be recording a full album for release in 2017.
Allan Jay has been a constant feature in the world of dance charts since signing with Energise Records in 2013, and his performances with his male dance troupe have led to him becoming one of the most successful new artists on the club scene. His past 2 singles ‘I go to Pieces‘ and ‘Boom Boom Boom – Lets go back to my room‘ reaching Top 10 in the Eurodance hits Chart.
Before releasing records Allan was a lead in many touring shows, with a voice that easily moves from Pop to Musical, seeing him take on roles in shows as diverse as “The Wonderful Westend – concert tour” and “12 Tenors” both European and American tours . Prior to signing with Energise Records Allan has previously been a voice over artist for both BBC and Disney Channel. In such shows as ‘High School Music’ Argentina and Mexico and ‘When Harvey met Bob’ – the story of Live Aid.
Allan and Rozalla kept meeting at festivals and events that they had both been booked to perform at. When the chance came to record a duet, Rozalla was Allan’s first choice….and she said …..YES!
This record and video are the amazing results from this union, a great summer sounding pop track with a strong beat and slightly euro feel, which considering it was written by Nalle Ashstalt who is Finnish, is not a surprise. What is a surprise is the wonderful blending of two distinctive voices and the fantastic chemistry on screen that they display on the video for the track.
