Transgender Day of Remembrance is a day to commemorate the memory of transgender people who died as a result of hate crime and remind the widespread transphobia that exists in Sweden and the world.

RumEtt filled with support, community, film screening, and at the end a candle light vigil at the Sundstorget in Helsingborg, Sweden.

RumEtt will be filled with warmth, support and solace on this day. To RumEtt, comes Doc Lounge, in collaboration with the Anti-Discrimination Agency of Northern Skåne ( Antidiskrimineringsbyrån Norra Skåne) and RFSL Helsingborg and they will be screening the film «Man Made». The documentary depicts the struggle of four transgender people, their ups and downs and their life-stories . The main characters, like the director T Cooper, were assigned a female gender, but now lives in unity with their gender identities as men. A touching documentary about four physical travels that problematic subjects like gender, masculinity, humanity and love.

Conversation and candle light vigil

After the film, an Q & A conversation are held together by Adrian Malmgren and Charlie Ševčuk Kronberg. Adrian is a cartoonist, series teacher and LGBTQ activist who disseminates his knowledge of trans and queers using series and lectures. Charlie is a film registry student at the Academy Valand (Akademin Valand), transmasculine and an activist. An open conversation about the issues that the film arises.

When the Q & A conversation is over, the candle light vigil starts at the Sundstorget in the remembrance of those who became fallen victims of transphobia violence – hate crime.
