Killer Michael Edwards’ appeal rejected by London court over husband’s stabbing death
Michael Edwards' legal team claimed he 'simply snapped' the night he stabbed John in the chest in a fight over a heating bill but the appeal was thrown out
A killer who stabbed his partner to death following a trivial row over heating bills has taken his bid to clear his name to London’s Appeal Court.
Michael Edwards plunged a knife into John Edwards’ chest after the pair rowed after a night on the town, Mrs Justice Elisabeth Laing told the court.
Neighbours had described the two men, who had recently celebrated their two year anniversary, as “a lovely couple” although prone to stormy rows.

The now 36-year-old became notorious by becoming the first man to be convicted of a domestic violence murder within a same-sex marriage.
