Former Dalkurd player Patrick Mulyanti, 20, is openly gay. Now he will be deported by Sweden to Uganda where he is wanted because of his sexual orientation and where a former boyfriend murdered.
They will kill me, he says.
Patrick Mulyanti came to Sweden at the age of 16, when his team played in the Gothia Cup.
He decided stay and sought asylum in Sweden while continuing his football career, where he played football for a contract with Dalkurd by playing a match in Hofors.
Mulyanti hasn’t received any asylum from the Swedish Migration Board (Migrationsverket). They do not believe his history, that his life are threatened because of his sexual orientation in his home country Uganda. And now the deportation decision has been finalised, something that Swedish LGBTQ website QX.se was the first to report.
The Swedish Migration Board believes that his protection needs are too vague, the newspaper writes (Migrationsverket).
Migrationsverket seems not to reading any of the many anti-LGBTQ reports from Uganda how they threat LGBTQ people or they just don’t want to know.
Everyone else knows that Uganda is anti-LGBTQ, except Swedish Migration Board.
