Finnair
«Assistance dogs are warmly welcome on Finnair flights. Guide dogs and hearing dogs who aid people with sight or hearing disabilities can travel in the cabin on our flights when they have completed qualified training and possess valid documentation. Finnair does not require registration to a specific registry. More information on travelling with assistance dogs is available on our website».
Widerøe
«Widerøe allows guide dogs regardless of their registration. However, we do not comment on other operators’ policies».
Lufthansa
At Lufthansa, the procedure has remained unchanged for years. Requests for assistance dogs are sent to our Medical Operations Centre, where each case is reviewed.
We require a training certificate for the dog from a training facility that is recognized by one of the following organisation’s:
– ADI (Assistance Dogs International)
– ADeu (Assistance Dogs Europe)
– IGDF (International Guide Dog Federation)
– Messerli Institute from Austria
No response
