Schoolchildren were left in tears after protests outside a school according to Assistant Headteacher Andrew Moffat.

The aim of the «No Outsiders» project at Parkfield Primary School in Birmingham was to teach pupils about diversity in modern day Britain, including issues around religion, gender diversity and sexual orientation.

Adults protested outside the building against the scheme which was written by Mr Moffat.

Pupils are taught about the positive values of diversity, tolerance and acceptance, in a broad curriculum encompassing LGBTQ rights, same-sex relationships, gender identity, race, religion and colour.

But the school has suspended the lessons in light of the demonstrations.
