
Former Eton student writes open letter about homophobia at the college

A former gay student from Eton College has written an open letter about his experience of bullying and homophobia at the college.
The letter is addressed to author Pier Torday, who said in a recent interview he was Eton’s “only openly gay schoolboy,” and didn’t suffer any homophobia.
Torday had said the reaction from his classmates was more of curiosity than bullying: “There was some sniggering, but there was certainly no upsetting or traumatic bullying.. everyone at school was pretty supportive.
