A couple were banned from going on their first holiday together to a four-star Moroccan spa because they are gay.

Hotel Eden Andalou Spa and Resort

Morgan Hughes and Lloyd Innes had booked a double room at the Eden Andalou Spa and Resort hotel in Marrakech, Morocco – where homosexuality is illegal – through British Airways.

After spotting the deal online, they called to confirm the price and to check their relationship status would not be a problem.

Mr Hughes, 23, and Mr Innes, 28, from Sholing in Southampton, said they had paid for airport parking, transfers and a new camera, when British Airways emailed them asking them to get in touch regarding their holiday in July.

The airline company told them the hotel had been in touch and said they weren’t allowed to stay at their hotel because they were in a homosexual relationship.
