BoyAhoy Continues to Break Boundaries in the App Store
Location based dating app BoyAhoy was among the fastest growing apps of the past year. The free app, created by the pioneers of "gps dating" Skout.com, signed up more than 5,000 new members every day in December, in addition to the site's nearly one million existing members.
BoyAhoy works by introducing gay singles to one another based on proximity. The app lets you know exactly how far away you are from your potential love interest without ever revealing an exact location.
According to BoyAhoy member Dominic Friesen, “The site’s unique features make finding love easier than ever. Rather than long boring questionnaires and back and forth chit chat, BoyAhoy helps you meet likeminded singles in real time.” The site’s revolutionary approach gives users instant gratification that can’t be found on traditional dating sites. Friesen says he has met up with other singles on BoyAhoy at different locations ranging from The Beverly Center to hiking Runyon Canyon.
“BoyAhoy users love the convenience of the site” according to site Founder Niklas Lindstrom. Due to the innovation of gps dating it’s possible to meet a love interest “anytime anywhere.”
